Tea Time with Lindz: Dominic Burgess

Dominic Burgess was born and grew up in Stoke-on-Trent, England before making his way to The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, (ALRA) in London, where he spent the next three years perfecting his craft. 

Dominic moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and has been living there ever since, not without a lot of visa issues, which we discuss in depth. 

Since being in LA, Dominic has had huge success with his acting career, his credits, (to name but a few) include, A.N.T Farm, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Leftovers, Feud: Bette and Joan, The Good Place, Santa Clarita Diet, Star Trek, The Magicians and the soon to be aired Dr Death. 

Dominic also wrote, directed and starred in short film with Alfred Molina, Sam Did It, that won awards at the Catalina Film Festival, Dances With Film, Los Angeles Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Film Festival and Sonoma International Film Festival.

Tea Time with Lindz: Shannon Corbeil

Shannon Corbeil is not only an actress and creator but Shannon was in the United States Air Force. She served as an Intelligence Officer in Texas, the Republic of Korea, and the National Security Agency, during which time she received her Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence.

After finding her way back into acting Shannon has become a jack of all trades in learning new skills such as filming, editing, lighting, in order to help create her own projects. Which is when Shannon realized just how important community is.

We discuss just how important branding is, the sooner you find your brand the better it will be to help you navigate your way into getting bookings. Remember your branding and type will always change just like you do.

Tea Time with Lindz: Cat LaCohie (aka Vixen DeVille)

Hailing from Newcastle Cat LaCohie moved to London and spent the next twelve years performing burlesque, acting, as well as touring Germany for four months before taking the leap to try out LA. 


Since moving to Los Angeles Cat has had some amazing success with her Burlesque performances and alter ego, Vixen DeVille and has performed multiple times of Masters of Illusion.  Not only is Cat an accomplished actress and burlesque performer in the LA scene, Cat is also a fantastic fire eater, glass walker and aerialist who wrote and performed in her solo show “Vixen DeVille Revealed” was awarded Winner of the Best International ShowWinner of the Soaring Solo ArtistWinner of the Encore Producers Award, and Nominated Best of Cabaret & Variety at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2018. The show went on to be awarded Winner Best Out Of Town Show at the Tucson Fringe Festival 2019, Winner Best One Person Performance at The Valley Theatre Awards 2019 and Winner Best Solo Performance at the Indiana Fringe Festival 2019.


In addition to performing for audiences, Vixen also teaches her craft both privately 1-on-1 and in supportive group workshop environments. Whether working with students in-person or worldwide online, she is a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in the world of Burlesque. Her classes range from “Introduction to Burlesque & Body Confidence” to full “Solo Act Development” as well supplementary classes covering “Costume Crafting” and a range of specialty performance skills including Fire Performance, Aerial and more.

Tea Time with Lindz: Zita Zutic Konak

Zita Zutic Konak is a Casting Director for ET Casting having cast multiple commercials, films and music videos.

Zita has had a wonderful and very non linear journey to get to where she is right now. Starting out as a child actor in Serbia to making her way to the UK and studying at Kingston University and finding a passion in directing and pursuing that at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Before finding her love for casting Zita worked in a variety of fields including a floor runner to being Third Assistant Director on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.

This week Lindsay interviews old class mate Alex Hafner. Hear all about Alex’s move from Europe to the States, and back to Europe again where, in the last couple of years Alex has really started to thrive as an actor. Of course there are ups and downs, scenes being cut, shows being put on hold due to Covid-19, but that is the life of an actor in general, you have to go with the flow.
